Aragon, in eastern Spain, is a bitterly cold region with a frozen river surface. One early morning, police officers received a report that a po.or dog had [fal.len] into the lake. It’s unclear whether the dog is a str.ay or someone’s pet, but it’s been in the water for a long time and is fi.ghting for its life, despite the slim chances.

The police officers arrived almost immediately, and they noticed that the ice was a major impediment to the canoe rescue, but the police officers defied the icy waters and swam out to rescue the po.or dog. The river was clearly fr.ozen, and they had to take off their tops and swim through the bone-chilling ice to reach the helpless animal.
