That dogs are the only relationship that is guaranteed to br.eak our hearts.
And only fellow dog parents can understand this to the core. We know the hea.rta.che that lies ahead when we welcome a loving dog into our lives. But all of it is so worth it for the time we have with them, however long that may be 😞
For 80-year-old Ken Pendagraft, his dog of 14 years offered him a reason to go out every day and take him for a walk, not to mention companionship and unconditional love.
But when Ken was found dis.tra.ught with a very si.ck dog, neighbors rallied around to help.
Ken lived in a mobile home community in Hemet, California with his 16-year-old dog Zack. According to his neighbors he was friendly but usually kept himself to himself.
That was till his dog became [extr.emely i.l.l] and Ken really did not have the [mo.ney] to rush him to the [v.et]. “Ken remained in tears”.
Elaine Seamans, founder of the At-Choo Foundation, a rescue organization that helps dogs seeking healthcare – came to help!
Elaine did all she could for Zack who was [de.tec.ted with gla.uco.ma], [sev.ere art.hritis] and a 6/6 [heart mu.rmur], making any type of sur.gery impossible.
Sa.dly, Zack didn’t make it.
But unfortunately, the sa.dn.ess doesn’t end there, he was [exper.iencing a void of loneliness].
Not long after he lo.st his beloved Zack, Ken di.ed of a heart at.tack. Anyone that loves their pet understands how [str.essful] it is when they pass.
What happened after this shows simply exactly how connected we are to our animals and how much we require them.
Very sa.d, but they are both together and probably very happy! R.I.P🙏

It’s such a [trau.matic] time when having to say goodbye to your beloved furbaby. 😪😔 They’ll be together again now in heaven!🌈
