On May 2, 2016, Peggy Edwards posted her tale on Fb: Her tale involved Joe, a policeman from Woonsocket, Rhode Island. It all began when a car [sc.a.red] off a cute but fearful Yorkshire [te.rri.er] puppy.
And the dog immediately ran away and into a tunnel.

Peggy began sharing her story on Fb, saying: On April 30th, a little dog was running about free and was [sc.ar.ed] by a passing car. It collided with a tunnel through which a local creek runs. She was [st.ran.ded] around 20-25 feet in and clinging to the edge.

She was reluctant to assist the small dog despite her instincts telling her to. But she was afraid she’d [sc.are] the [po.or] dog, making it retreat deeper into the tunnel.
And she called the Woonsocket Police Department right away.

A short while later, Officer Joe Brazil showed up and was eager to help. The brave Officer was eager to help as Peggy then described what had happened.
Peggy share: He plunged in without a second hesitation and emerged with a very wet, [sc.ar.ed] small dog.

Before going through the tunnel to save the tiny dog, the kind Officer took off his shoes and socks.
The officer was able to be reached by WJAR NBC10, He said: As I came closer, I could see Cece just clinging to the side and just trembling.

Joe took extra care not to scare the little dog further down the tunnel given how [ter.rif.ied] she was. Once he was close enough to the [ter.rif.ied] dog, he let Cece follow his fingers a little further into the tunnel, and then he lifted her up!
He share: She seemed to know I was there to help. It almost seemed like she was saying thank you.

Cece was the name of this adorable dog. Cece wasn’t a st.ray after all; she came from a lovely household.
Michelle Perez, Cece’s owner, was thrilled that her dog had been located; She share: Her mother-in-law had given her the adorable puppy, but the next day it [es.caped]!
She is only five months old, and I couldn’t sleep. All I kept doing was driving around and contacting her.
