One thing, however, concerns all panda enthusiasts: breeding pandas is extremely difficult. They are end.ang.ered species. Females only have about 2-3 days per year to reproduce.
Their population has declined dramatically in recent years!
According to the most recent survey in 2020, there are approximately 1,864 wild pandas left. As a result, the Chengdu Research Base in China established a special breeding program and nursery for pandas. This is a ‘non-pr.ofit’ organization dedicated to pr.even.ting the [ext.inc.tion] of pandas. They can have one cub every two years if the breeding is successful!
The number of pandas is beginning to increase again, thanks to the efforts of organizations like these!
On September 23, 2013, 128 panda cubs raised at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, were presented to the public. It’s exactly like a panda nursery, where they are cared for and entertained!
The photos have made a big impression on social media, and many people are overjoyed at the prospect of visiting this adorable kindergarten.
