Welcome to the world, little one…!
It’s really amazing watching the maternal instincts. It’s so human like…💕
She looks so in love with her baby ❤️ such a precious thing to see…! 😁💕
The Oregon Zoo said 20-year-old Bornean orangutan Kitra gave birth to a new baby this week.
The orangutan was born on Wednesday, at around 11 a.m.
Mom and baby are doing well in their behind-the-scenes maternity den, zoo officials said.
Kate Gilmore, who oversees the zoo’s primate area said: We’re all pretty excited about it. It’s great to see Kitra taking such good care of her baby. There’s still a lot that could happen, so we’re being very cautious and giving her as much quiet time as possible.
And so far she seems to be taking to motherhood quite well.
Caregivers won’t know whether the newborn is male or female for a few weeks. And they are closely monitoring the pair to make sure everything continues to go well.
All God’s creatures are beautiful and this mamma is so very loving. Pray all continues to go well! Congratulations to mamma and to the Oregon Zoo!👏👏👏
Such love the mama gives their little one.❤️
The baby will never know freedom either…! For whatever reason, go to their natural habitat… and support wildlife cuz we’re [rui.ning] their homes too!
Sending love, hugs and prayers to mama and her precious baby ❤️👏🙏🙏
