Such a kind thing to do. Thank you so much for looking after these lovely babies!
We all know that young kangaroos must be in their mother’s pouch; it’s a.w.ful what would happen if they lo.st their mother!
Chris “Brolga” Barns was the one who noticed that while there are many places for cats and dogs to hide, there is virtually nowhere for these mis.era.ble newborn kangaroos.
So, after working as a zookeeper in the Northern Territory and a birder in Western Australia, he decided to start his first project to rescue these adorable animals by building an orphaned kangaroo sanctuary in Alice Spring, Australia.
With his zeal and love for animals, he founded his sanctuary to assist young kangaroos whose mothers were tra.gically ki.ll.ed by vehicles or in.jur.ed by cars. He is currently caring for 28 of these instances.
Chris frequently talks about how sa.d it makes him feel to go to accident scenes and save baby kangaroos who are still in their mother’s pouch. He understands that he needs to do this, which is to raise these little puppies on behalf of their mother.
It’s great to know there are such kind and down-to-earth people in the world. We read so much negativity about human behavior, it’s good to realize how much good there is in the world.
