Praise the Lord what a blessing! 🙏 Thank you, Buford for being amazing dog!
This is why livestock guardian dogs live outside and are always on alert to protect. Thankfully he responded to scent and noises and protected that child.
Get that dog a steak dinner ❤️
A 2-year-old Arizona boy [su.rvi.ved] a night in the high desert and was rescued by a loyal ranch dog named Buford 7 miles from home.
The toddler, Boden Allen, walked off his parents’ property on Monday and faced the [ha.rsh] conditions of the high desert, where temperatures drop overnight and [pr.edato.rs], including mountain lions, come out.
Megan Fitzgerald of the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office said: There were even two mountain lions spotted during the search last night.
Yavapai County search and rescue teams quickly mobilized, but Fitzgerald noted that such cases often do not have happy endings.
Fitzgerald said: It’s a rarity, so it is not every day that we get to sit here and talk about a happy ending where the child was safe and located.
The next morning, a loyal ranch dog named Buford found Boden seven miles from home.
Scotty Dunton, Buford’s owner said: Going down the driveway. My dog was sitting down there with the little kid just brought him up from the horse pasture and brought him over to the gate and was just hanging out with him.
Dunton believes Boden followed the power line all the way to his property.
Dunton said: You walk all night? And he goes, No, I slept under a tree, and I said, Well, did my dog find you? And he said, Yep. Power line lines out to his house 7 miles away.
Unbelievable that that child walked that far unharmed and thanks to the wonderful family dog that found him and brought him home to the farmer that called authorities for his safe return to family 🙏
God is great and dogs are angels sent to Earth by our Creator. God bless that boy and this hero dog 👦🐾🙏🏻❤️
