North Texas high schooler gets perfect score on both ACT and SAT!

Congrats to this bright young man!

He is also the UIL Academics 5A state champion in math and number sense, district officials told WFAA.

GRAPEVINE, Texas — A Grapevine-Colleyville ISD (GCISD) junior got perfect scores on both the ACT and SAT this school year, according to district officials.

Piyush Mallick, who attends Grapevine High School, posted the 36 on the ACT on his first try last October and 1600 on the SAT on his second try in March, GCISD officials said. On his first attempt at the SAT, Mallick got a 1590, just shy of the perfect score.

The district said Mallick credits his achievement to rigorous courses offered in GCISD, along with his teachers’ willingness to help when he had questions.

Mallick is also the UIL Academics 5A state champion in math and number sense and was part of the first place team in this year’s UIL 5A-District 6 cross-examination debate competition, GCISD told WFAA.

GCISD hosts boot camps to help students prepare and offers juniors the opportunity to take the SAT at no cost on campus during March.
